Sunday, March 26, 2006 Ouch. My whole body is aching from the 100+ push-ups that I did yesterday morning during the camp. Actually the camp was okay-not enjoyable, but also not very tough except for the second day. The camp only started from 4.30 pm. I had time to finish my English homework after school, go to Hougang Point for lunch with Kenelm and Clement, come home, take a shower, play computer for 1 hour and go back to school. From 4.30 pm, we prepared our campfire performance, had very little for dinner, had campfire, watched a Thai horror movie, then had our night walk. Dinner sucked very badly. They gave us very little time so only had time to eat half a packet of instant noodles, 1 can of curry chicken cubes and 1 can of sardines. Campfire was so-so. All the campfire performances were sucky because they gave us very little time to prepare. The Thai movie after the campfire I watched a bit of it before. Honestly, I'm not a very big fan of horror movies. But this movie wasn't scary. Some parts a bit gory but I love gore. Night walk was the most fun part of the camp. Almost the same as last year. Just walked around the school (which was quite dark) and signed our names at the checkpoints. Hairi was using his handphone to play the X-Files tune, supposedly to scare us. Haha, then once, he jumped from around the corner and shouted,"Boo!" I wasn't really surprised because he left his phone in a locker where I was. Quite obvious that there was someone nearby. So my night walk ended at 1.05 am. Rested in the AVT until like 2 when they let us go back to our classrooms to sleep until 6.30 am. Initially, I managed to catch like 2 hours+ of sleep but I woke up halfway through and couldn't sleep all the way until 6.30 pm. My pillow, which was my bag, was too hard and so was the floor. Just lay there waiting for 6.30 am. P.T. the next day was hell, more so since I had a very light dinner the day before. My arms felt damn weak when they asked us to do push-ups. Thankfully, we had breakfast after P.T. Played Captain's Ball. My team lost our first match. The whole thing lasted like 2 hours in total and then we had our Amazing Race, which was really tiring for me. The last task we did went like this: each team had to score 10 penalty goals without a keeper. To have 1 shot, somebody must do 10 push-ups. My team kept missing our shots so in the end I did about 80 push-ups, which resulted in my arms aching now. My team was last for Amazing Race but I don't really care. Then some NCO asked us to help carry down the benches from the hall to the canteen. Really damn tired because of the push-ups I did earlier on. At about 2 pm, camp ended. I came home, took a shower, ate my lunch, and slept, totally exhausted. |
